Pioneer Corps, 4th division, 15th Army Corps quartermaster records, June, 1865.

The collection consists of seventeen (17) handwritten documents from the Union Army Quartermaster's Dept. during June, 1865. Included are invoices, receipts, and vouchers for clothing, horses, feed, and supplies issued, transferred, or returned. Also listed are tools which were discarded due to their unfit state and the reasons for each. Many of the documents mark a transfer of goods between Captain Ben Howell and Lieutenant Edgar McLean. All documents note McLean and his location at Louisville, Kentucky, and sometimes at Washington, D.C. as well. It appears that McLean's duty was to provide supplies for his division of Pioneer Corps while in Louisville, reflected in the invoices detailing clothing and supplies.
